Founder & Lead Educational Consultant
Mandeep Singh
Who he works with
Mandeep Singh is the Founder and Lead Educational Consultant at The Scholar Tutoring and Consultancy. He advises families across the UK and internationally whose children attend leading schools including Eton, Harrow, Westminster, St Paul’s Girls’, Wycombe Abbey and Institut Le Rosey. Students he has supported have secured offers from Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard.
His approach
A qualified Mathematics teacher, Mandeep spent five years teaching at King Edward’s School, Birmingham, and is currently completing an MSc in Learning and Teaching at the University of Oxford. His research explores self-efficacy: how students’ belief in their ability shapes their learning and achievement. This underpins his approach, combining academic expertise with the development of confidence, independence and ambition.
Mandeep believes that confidence grows through meaningful experiences of success. Through thoughtful challenge, clear teaching and encouragement, he helps young people recognise their potential and develop the skills to move forward independently.
What he believes
As an educator and father of two young daughters, he also believes that an ambitious education should leave room for a childhood worth enjoying. Friendship, play, curiosity and opportunities to explore genuine interests are central to his philosophy. His aim is to help young people achieve highly while becoming resilient, thoughtful individuals with a strong sense of purpose.
Through The Scholar and MandeepEducates, he advises families, writes, speaks and shares conversations with education leaders. The legacy he hopes to leave extends well beyond examination results and university offers: young people who believe in themselves, pursue meaningful ambitions and use their opportunities to contribute to others.
Education is about more than grades. It is about building confident, resilient young people equipped to succeed wherever their ambitions take them.
